From Lucerne train station to Brandgässli 9
From the train station Lucerne it’s best to walk to the apartment. Our apartments are located in a pedestrian area and are not directly accessible by car.
On foot you have three different options:
Option 1: At option 1, turn left at Bahnhofplatz and walk to the second bridge (not the famous Chapel Bridge), which crosses the river Reuss. Cross the second bridge called Rathaussteg and then turn left again until you reach the HITrental sign under one of the arcades. This is not the main entrance though. Now you have to walk a bit further to the public toilets and to a narrow staircase that leads up to Brandgässli. At the top of the stairs turn right and after a few meters you get to number 9.
Option 1 is the fastest option. However, if you want to avoid climbing stairs, you should choose the option 3.
Option 2: In option 2 you first walk straight from Lucerne station over the big bridge towards Schwanenplatz. At Schwanenplatz turn left onto the Rathausquai and walk along it until you see the HITrental sign under one of the arcades. From here, the way is the same as in option 1.
Option 3: The option 3 is almost the same as option 2. First you walk over the big bridge. After that the way goes through the old town. At Schwanenplatz turn left onto Kapellplatz and walk along Kapellgasse to Kornmarkt. At the Kornmarkt turn left first, then turn right into Brandgässli.
